Obama is the sexy pick. I like Edwards' charm and his message. I can't f%#king stand Hillary for a variety of reasons. Jon Stewart has already said he won't run (damn it!). So who am I pulling for? Who do I think would make the best president in 2008? This guy.
We voted for him once, we should do it again.
Who are you pulling for? And why?

I'm all about that! I'd vote for him in a heartbeat... unless Hillary can get Bill to be her running mate... :)
He was a good president. But seriously, no more Clintons! We need some new last names in the Oval Office.
I like Obama. He has a lot of new ideas and he seems to have his heart in the right place. But he's too young and he needs to be in the senate for a couple more terms. So let's get Gore in there. He should have been there in the first place, right? And then after two terms with Gore then we can get Obamain there.
I think it's a good plan.
I'd love to see a Gore/Obama ticket in 2008! With Obama running in 2016.
At this point I'm for Richardson. No problem with Clinton, but I think she's going to have problems getting elected. And Obama, he's OK too, but likewise there will be a quiet group that just won't vote for a black man.
I want a candidate that can be elected. Richardson's name doesn't scream latino, but the hispanic community knows it. He's got executive experience as governor, has international experience, both UN and negotiating with the Oil states.

This guy's a mench. Who could be better? Al Gore with his wife Tipper - the Tipper that wanted to censor music?

David, I don't disagree that Richardson has the credentials to be a good president. However, I would be inclined to argue that Gore possesses a "beefier" resume. Plus, if your concern is about electability. We already voted for the guy. For the sake of the country and the world, I hope we have the opportunity to do so again. Only this time, the results will be so resounding, there will be no need for a controversial Supreme Court decision.
Would you settle for a Gore/Richardson ticket?
Obama, unless he dons a Nazi uniform anytime in the next 2 years can get the minority vote (provided they show up), and he is young and charismatic enough to get the youth vote (provided they show up), coupled with his support for women’s health and right to choice will get him the vote of that demographic (provided they show up).
Hillary has the obvious lack of testicles going against her. She can over come this in one of many ways. Sign on Bill as her Vice(Given what he accomplished as President, I am MORE than ok with that… but I don’t think Bill will run again) Another would be to seriously step up the rhetoric and make it more than known that despite gender conflicts in they eyes of some, she still stands for what the Dems stand for. The third and most likely would be to sign on under another candidate as a VP nomination.
Gore is hot right now. He has the movie going for him and he has momentum. However, he has 2000 hanging over his head. With a strong VP nomination and full court press on hot issues, he can get back out and get the media coverage. Now that we have the movie showing what most of us already knew, we know that Gore can be charismatic. The wooden man image killed him in 2000, and if he can get on to visual media and show the dynamic personality that he has going for him, people would be pretty easily drawn to him.
My pick for 2008 is Gore/Obama.
No posts since January? Weak.
(Yes, I'm aware I personally skipped for a month...)
